For more than 30 years, the fundamental standard for creating digital trees  in entertainment has been a procedural software approach. Although L-system-based algorithms ensured that everything was editable, this approach hardly delivered the complexity and variety that real trees display in nature. With a first batch of over 50 trees the realtrees.net library shows a great amount of variety and an unseen realism.
This horse chestnut tree is 14.4 meters high. At a height of 131 cm the trunk has diameter of around 1.05 meter. The model has 15 Million Polygons and a basic Color Texture in 16 K . 
This is the distance textures and geo will hold up in 4 k . You cannot let a squirrel run over a branch in close up.
