Although the L System based algorithms assured that everything was editable, the procedual approach hardly delivered the complexity and variety real trees display in nature . What the real trees library will deliver is a collection of barebone trees without twigs and leaves. If you want to deploy dead trees or trees in winter settings you will have a production ready textured assets. If you need green trees for summer you will need a tool like Houdini, to add a leave set up and possible a rig for animation. Your Technical Director will be able to make this happen. RealTrees will give you another arrow in the quiver to build your environment digital or in the real world .
